Financial Aid night for college-bound students

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Navigating financial aid options for college-bound students and their parents can be confusing.

Mesa State College and District 51 have partnered up to bring students and their parents a free event to help them figure out what they need to know when it comes to paying for college.

Unified Financial Aid night is Wednesday, Jan. 26 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in the Mesa State College Center ballroom. Financial aid experts will give students and parents information about the ins and outs of financial aid, the FAFSA process, loans, work study, grants, scholarships and more.

District 51 high school counselors and MSC financial aid staff will hold informational sessions and campus tours:
5 - 6 p.m. Campus Tours
6- 6:30 p.m. Welcome and introductions
6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Financial Aid sessions for parents
6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Breakout sessions for students

Free parking is available in the parking garage at 12th Street and Elm Ave. There's no need to RSVP for the event, if you have questions, contact the counselor at your high school.
