GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Western Colorado Botanical Gardens have a great idea to help you get the kids outside this Winter Break.

Starting Monday morning, the Gardens are hosting the Winter Solstice Children’s Camp for kids ages 8 to 12, teaching them what happens to plants, wildlife and creepy crawlers during the winter months.

The camp runs Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities include art and science projects and even some cooking.
You’ll need to send them off with warm winter clothes, a sack lunch each day and water. The cost is $90 per child.
