GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Veterans at the VA Hospital are showing off their artistic abilities this week.
It’s all part of the 13th Annual Veterans Arts and Craft Fair.
Work in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture and photography are on display. The artists are competing for a chance to go to a national competition, but the fair is also part of recreation therapies held at the hospital.
Veterans like Doc Ross say it's a great outlet. "Its just what it says, its creative arts. It allows the veteran to express him or herself in the way that they are most familiar with," he says.
This year's show has work from 66 veterans. You can check out all the artwork from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday inside building six at the VA hospital.
