Sister of O.J. Simpson's slain wife visiting Grand Junction to speak on abuse

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A woman who knows firsthand about the consequences of abuse is coming to Grand Junction to help bring the subject into the spotlight.

Denise Brown, the sister of O.J. Simpson's slain wife Nicole Simpson, will share her story during a special Child Abuse Prevention Month presentation in Grand Junction later this month.

Brown says she's has made a life-long commitment to educate the public and improve the quality of life for those who have been victims of family violence.

She is scheduled to speak on Thursday, April 22 at 7 p.m. at the Avalon Theater. The event is free to the public. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.
