GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - While many families have already taken time out of their weekend to remember fallen soldiers, there will be more celebrations and ceremonies to honor those veterans Sunday night and all day Monday.
The Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado will lower and retire an American flag Sunday night at 6 p.m. and will have a Memorial Day ceremony Monday at 10 a.m.
The Fleet Reserve Association will kick off their annual wreath floating ceremony at the Blue Heron boat ramp Monday at 9 a.m..
There will be a Celebration of Life ceremony with proceeds going to Hospice at Memorial Gardens Cemetery from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a BBQ and full gun salute.
