GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A local woman is hoping you won't forget our four–legged friends this holiday season.
Linda Nieman has organized a pet food drive for the Roice Hurst Humane Society. She is asking people to donate both dog and cat food as well as cat litter to the shelter, which is facing a big need this year.
She says Murdoch's got the ball rolling with a dog food donation worth $400.
Nieman wants to give animals something to look forward to this year, too. "Sometimes during the holidays animals get neglected as far as not getting free gifts or food like some of the other people in the valley do and the animals need some help and Roice Hurst wants to help them out."
The drive runs until Dec. 22 and if you would like to help out, just stop by Roice Hurst, 3320 D 1/2 Road in Clifton to drop off your donations.
