Grand Valley Trails Alliance begins new campaign

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- All for one, and one for all ... trails. That's the motto for the Grand Valley Trails Alliance, which is in its first year of operation.

Funded by the Bureau of Land Management, the GVTA plans to be a one-stop shop for all trail enthusiasts - hikers, horse riders, off-roaders, bikers, etc. - who wish to propose new plans for trails, in addition to maintaining the multitude of pre-existing trails in the Grand Valley.

Assistant Field Manager for the BLM, Michelle Bailey, says "bringing these groups together will help speed up [the process of getting new trails in place]."

Due to this being the alliance's first steps of operation, the GVTA is still in need of some help to complete their organizational staff. Some of the positions that the alliance is looking for assistance with are: volunteers, non-profit legal assistance, general legal assistance, non-profit accounting assistance, printing assistance, educational experts, and database architectures.

The GVTA is also searching for available office space, and equipment, such as: equipment trailers, trail motorcycle, and a 4-seat OHV.

If you can assist the GVTA in any way, please visit their website at: GVTrails.com
