GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Organizers behind Honor Flight are hoping to get all local World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. to see the memorial in their honor before it’s too late.

The veterans don’t pay for the trip, so it takes a lot of fundraising to get each trip off the ground.

You can help with the next round of fundraising by heading to Flyin’ Roosters Friday night.

It’ll be an evening of entertainment and great food while fundraising for the Honor Flight’s fourth trip. Organizers hope everyone can make it so every member of our ‘Greatest Generation’ get the recognition they deserve for their service to our country.
