Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO)--Grand Junction police responded to a call of shots being fired in front of Tenacious Brothers on the corner of 7th and Main late Sunday night. When they arrived they found a man on the sidewalk with a gun shot wound in the arm.

He had been shot with a .22 caliber pistol.

People in and around the bar were interviewed and it was determined that the gun shot was self inflected.

No word on the condition of the victim. Authorities are continuing their investigation.

It's crazy alot of these comments make me think of the story where the guy is accused of attempting to termanat a pregnancy an yet everyone bashed the guy and the girl however when the victim stated her story was misinterpreted she got bashed again but the people closest to them knew the real story so for those of you who know this guy who shot himself I'm sorry and I hope your friend recovers to the rest never judge someone from a headline

He is an emotionally unstable idiot. He inflicted severe emotional pain on those close to him, he never intended to kill himself, only inflict pain. He is a narcissistic/arrogant jerk. I feel sorry for his kids, ex wife and ex girlfriend. THOSE are the victims. He has anger issues that need to be taken care of.

Boy, you know who needs help? That psychotic ex-wife of his. I would put money that fat, unstable, drug-addicted, cheating cow drove him to it.

I am so embarrassed to know that you heartless people live in the same community as I. I knew the man who got shot and I know the true story. People read the paper or watched the news and made immediate assumptions. He is a great guy with some problems and is going to get through this with the help of some close, genuine friends.

@Runt. Glad you think your friend is smart, but let's face the facts. Anyone toting a gun around like that who shoots himself is a moron........period. He is also a moron for not doing a good job at it.

Runt------ I can see where you think this guy is smart, he probably knows the difference between know and now. If you keep looking Im sure you can find somebody smart enough not to put out a contract on themself and try and collect the money.

You're right, everything that the man said can be negated because he misspelled a word. So, everything you said is worthless because you forgot the apostrophe in "I'm" and forgot the comma after "keep looking," correct?

First off, I would like to say that I have read a lot of the other comments and am amazed at how many people make ignorant assumptions without KNOWING all the facts. Moron??? Really??? I now the man and he is the furthest thing from it. He is one of the nicest, kind hearted, and intelligent people I know. A man's character can be measured by the people he surounds himself with, and by that I am HONORED to be his friend. Have any of you simple minded idiots ever heard of an accident??? Just something bad that happened at a bar one night, nothing more. Thank god no one else was injured, and hope he gets well soon.

Found out last night just who it was and I am going to give him a couple of weeks then I am going to go visit him. Here is something everyone else does not realize Runt. We take care of our friends. We will get him through this and he will be back with us. My whole issue here is the reporting style begged people to assume what happened instead of actually trying to find out the truth.

First off I would like to thank anonymous who made the Cactus Canyon comment. You proved my point. you read a very poorly written report and just assumed it was a bad place. So coyote, brian, Thank you for playing the game and better luck being correct next time. It is all a matter of perception and you 2 helped me prove my point.

Guy gets shot downtown outside TBP. Another guy gets beat to death downtown outside Quincy's. There's plenty more over the years. MY point, dear Micah, is that people are really quick to fault the 'slums' of the Clifton area, but somehow ignore the same types of events in other places in town. I read the article, I understood it, I was a bit too facetious for many here, I see. And for those who seem to be glad the guy got shot, shame on you! It's embarrassing to have you in our community.

Once again you are helping prove my point. It is the irresponsible reporting that is painting these pictures. This article could have been written to reflect the all the facts and not just the ones they wanted to report on. Had this happened across the street in the Avalon parking lot the report probably would have said "across the street from TBP" instead of "in the parking lot of the Avalon". It is their choice of wording and their lack of getting the whole story. As it is, the story reads like the reporter only wants the public to know part of the story. For all the information they supplied in the story, they could have just said "Man shoots self downtown with a .22 gun at 7th and Main". What probably happened is the reporter showed up and asked maybe 1 or 2 people what happened and went with that. The point I am making and you have helped make without actually understanding it yourself is that this is a case of poor reporting and reporting like this gives areas and businesses here in the valley a bad image.
