'Polar Express Hot Chocolate' is Parade of Lights tradition

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) – The annual Parade of Lights is here and that means Main Street Bagels Artisan Bakery & Café is mixing up 20 gallons of “Polar Express Hot Chocolate.”

Main Street Bagels has been serving up the rich, dark chocolate concoction during the Parade of Lights for 17 years, making it as much of a tradition for hundreds of parade goers as the parade itself.

The drink is made with four different kinds of melted chocolate and half & half. This year, the Café is serving from two serving lines in hopes of getting people through the line faster and back out to watch the parade.

Main Street Bagels is located at 559 Main Street on the corner of 6th and Main.

Main Street Bagels sold out of 20 gallons of Polar Express by 5:30. Next year they will make 30 gallons! Delicious!
