Scholarship recipients soloists at today’s concerts

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo (KKCO) – Today’s Sweet Adelines Christmas Concert will feature solos by the two winners of the Sweet Adelines Scholarship.

This year’s scholarship recipients, Teri Heffner and Carolyn Sampson, are both vocal music majors at Colorado Mesa University.

The concert will include the entire all-women’s choir singing both traditional and sacred Christmas music. Also featured in the concert will be several small groups, quartets and a special choir of third grade students from Orchard Avenue Elementary School.

The Sweet Adelines will perform the Christmas Concert at Colorado Mesa University in the recital hall in Ross Performance Center at 2:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and students. Children under 5 will be admitted free of charge. Santa photos will be available in the lobby for $10 from noon until 1:45 P.M., 2 to 3 P.M., and 5:45 to 6:45 P.M.
