GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Area officers will be swapping badges for burgers Saturday, raising money for Special Olympics of Colorado.
If you stop by Red Robin Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 4 to 8 p.m., chances are your server will be a local law enforcement officer.
They’ll be there as part of the annual Tip-A-Cop Program that’s been going on since 2005.
Officers will be collecting special tips from diners and putting them all toward helping out Special Olympics.
For more than 25 years, officers across the state have helped support more than 10,000 Special Olympics athletes.
