GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Western Slope division of the Colorado Oil and Gas Association gathered for their annual banquet at the Two Rivers Convention Center Friday night. Congressman Scott Tipton delivered the keynote address. His focus centered on re-energizing the oil and gas industry in our state.

"We have to reinvigorate the energy industry here in Western Colorado. One of the big obstacles we're going to have to overcome is over regulation at the federal end," says Congressman Tipton.

Congressman Tipton has been touring the Third Congressional District this week, making stops throughout much of the Western Slope. He says that Coloradans have expressed to him the same sentiments, slowing down the growth of government and spending.

I 'm sure that as a republican he will just be a shill for the oil companies selling out the rest of our natural resources for oil company profits and will have the blessing of people like KKCO owner and tea potty spokes person Rick wagner.
