Cow found dead after shots fired report, GJPD says

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Police are looking for the suspect accused of shooting and killing a cow in a local community.

Grand Junction police said it happened in the early morning hours of Feb. 4 in an open field in the 2900 block of D Road. According to police, a dark-colored, two-door car was seen speeding out of the area after three gunshots were fired.

Later that morning, police found a cow dead. The total damage is estimated to be about $2,000.
