GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-- Kris Paronto, also known as "Tanto", originally from Alamosa, Colorado, was part of the CIA annex security team that responded to that attack on the U.S. special mission on Sept. 11, 2012.
He graduated from Colorado Mesa University in 1995 with a Criminal Justice degree.
His experience led to the publication of "13 hours: the Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi." It's what he'll be talking about Wednesday to a sold-out crowd at CMU.
That book became the basis for the movie, which you see here.
According to his website, he helped to save over twenty lives while fighting terrorists from the annex for thirteen hours.
He'll also take time to answer questions and sign books.
