GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Titanic, World War One, and the first ever mother’s day, a few things that came out of the early 1900's. But, what about Ray Green? A Grand Junction man who turned 105 on Wednesday, October 4th.
Green celebrated the big day on Thursday. The longtime Western Slope resident said that he has no secret to a long life and no daily routine. But, he said in his century-plus life there is something he is most proud of, his almost 70-year marriage that started in Fruita.
“I bought six acres with a shack on it, no inside plumbing, water outside, no walls. She married me and moved in with me,” said Ray Green.
Green celebrated with cake and friends at Grand Villa Assisted Living. Green even showed everyone his new license, to prove his age!
