Deputies look for auto theft suspect; car found at Kansas-Colo. border

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Mesa County Sheriff's deputies need help finding a person suspected of stealing a car.

It happened between May 14 and May 15, when the suspect stole a 1988 Buick LeSabre from the West Park-n-Ride in the 3000 block of I-70 B Frontage Road, according to the sheriff's office. Authorities eventually found the car at the Colorado-Kansas state border.

Inside, deputies said they found a receipt from the Clifton Taco Bell believed to have come from the suspect. Security cameras at Taco Bell captured a man with a goatee wearing a hat, a white shirt and jacket. He's also seen wearing glasses.

The sheriff's office said the time on the receipt and video match.
