GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Local authors are unveiling their very own comic book.

They held a signing Thursday night at the Mesa County Central Library.

The six of them worked on the Junktown comic book project, it's a collection of individual stories all done by each author. Mary Carman, Steve Moore, Josh O'Neal, M Brookes, AJ Urbina and Bryan Wade are the names you'll see on this unique collection.

The group started working on this project about a year ago, just shortly after Comic Con.

They say it was truly a collaborative process, even though each story is separate from one another.

"My story is called Grim Dark Underrock which is about a goblin that lives in a dungeon and all he wants to do is drink tea and do his crossword puzzle but adventure keeps barging in trying to steal all his stuff and knock down his doors," said Bryan Wade

The six authors are planning on being at Comic Con this weekend.

It'll be on Saturday at the Two Rivers convention center, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission is free.
