GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Willing to camp at least four nights a week in western Colorado? A local non-profit may have the opportunity for you.

Mesa County Partners is looking for teens and young adults to work on projects on public lands in our area.

In a press release Wednesday, Partners said one of their programs, Western Colorado Conservations Corps, is short on people applying to work on upcoming projects. They say projects include building trails and fences, backcountry camping and habitat restoration.

They’d like anyone that would be ready to start training this month to apply at their website, http://www.wcccpartners.org/, or call 970-241-1027.

Conservation Corps members are paid a stipend, and can earn scholarship money because of their work with Partners, according to the press release.
