NTSB: Plane hit line before crashing into Colorado River

WESTWATER, Utah (KKCO/KJCT)-- The National Transportation Safety Board says a plane the crashed into the Colorado River struck a line while flying at low altitude.

The pilot was injured in the July 31 crash, near Westwater, Utah.

The NTSB said the pilot dropped low to the river while flying in the canyon, hit the wire crossing the river, lost control and hit the side of the canyon.

Nearby rafters helped rescue the pilot.
