No one hurt in garage fire that causes $20,000 in damage

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- A Grand Junction family is safe after flames spread through their garage. It happened just before 5:00 p.m. on Friday near 13th Street and Main Street.

The Grand Junction Fire Department had the fire out in about an hour, and 13th Street from Rood Avenue to Main Street was closed while they were on the scene.

The two people who live there are being helped by the Red Cross, they weren’t home at the time of the fire. Damage is estimated at about $20,000.
