Spring Break solutions for busy parents

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- Students in School District 51 and at Colorado Mesa University are on spring break this week

For some, it means going on vacation or working to make extra cash.
For parents, it could mean staying home from work to take care of kids or finding childcare. which can be expensive, but the Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Department is there to help.

Whatever it is, there are a lot of things you can do to pass your time this spring break, but for working parents, this week can be more stressful than restful.

That’s why Just Add Kids camp is there to help, with fun activities like creating art, making new friends and going on new adventures.

"It's exciting and fun,” said camper Rylie Hanneman.

“This week we will be going to Get Air, jumping on the trampolines, we are going to be going to Glacier ice rink and ice skating and then we are going to hit the mall and go to the children's nature center and then Chucky Cheese,” said Tina Ross with the parks and rec department.
