GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)-- The focus in downtown Grand Junction on Thursday night was not only on the farmers market but also on veterans.
Several different veteran organizations came together to showcase what services and resources are available in the Grand Valley.
It was a one stop shop for things a vet might need when trying to transition back to civilian life.
One veteran said how these programs have helped him turn his life around.
"The Veteran Art center helped me get my life back together and helped me get back on track of helping me own my own company and my business of fashion design and clothing line, and selling shirts and all that stuff," said Bert Buford, a US Navy veteran.
Some of the organizations available to veterans are the Vet center, the VFW, American Legion, Team RWB, and Veterans Upward Bound.
