HS Football: Montrose focusing on fundamentals

By  |

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. In Motown, the Indians are now a pair of games into the season. Coach Scarry and the boys took down Fruita 33-27 in their first game, but dropped their game against Rifle the following week.

The Bears trickeration exposed the Montrose defense, and heading into a matchup with the Option-laden Bulldogs, attention to detail is at an all time high.

"Palisade has a lot of kids back, they are a good option team and they put a lot of pressure on you to play your assignment and sound football. It is a big challenge. We have to play a lot of tough teams early, and we have to meet that challenge"
- James Scarry, Head Coach
Montrose Football

" This is a tough challenge, just have to make sure we get our fundamentals down, practice hard, focus on the basics, and get ready for this week"
- Mason Weig RB/LB
