CMU Softball: Lady Mavs split regional doubleheader

Colorado Mesa falls to Angelo St. in game one of their regional doubleheader, 3-2.

The Lady Mavs had a two-run lead heading into the sixth. A three-run homer for Kennedy Urbany gave the Rambelles the lead.

In the bottom half of the inning, Maggie Manwarren was thrown out trying to steal second base to end the game.

With the loss game two was a must-win for CMU.

The Lady Mavs took care of Lubbock Christian, 3-2.

CMU scored two runs in the top of the seventh to take a 3-2 lead. Kimbri Herring pitched a complete game earning her a 15-1 record this year.

The Lady Mavs will take on Angelo St. at noon tomorrow from San Angelo, TX. CMU will have to win two in a row against the Rambelles to win the region.
