CMU Softball: Lady Mavs season ends in Regional final

CMU softball fought off elimination yesterday, defeating Lubbock Christian 3-2 in a tight one. Today they were facing Angelo St. again looking to win the regional title.

McKenzie surface got the start for Colorado Mesa in this one.

In the bottom of the 4th inning with ASU up 2-0 the Belles tried to pull off the squeeze, but Teagan Kirk was thrown out at home.

Bottom of the 5th now with runners on the corners, Mesa tried to throw out Heather Reatherford stealing 2nd, but the throw gets by everybody.
Madison Greenwell came across to score from 3rd to make it 3-0 Belles.

Later in the inning, Courtney Barnhill singled up the middle to bring home Reatherford to give ASU the 4-0 lead.

The Lady Mavs season is over as Angelo State took the Regional Championships 4-0.
