CMU Baseball: Mavs headed to Texas for Regional

The Colorado Mesa Mavericks are on a hot streak as they cruised through the RMAC tournament outscoring their opponents in the 4 games 46 to 13.

This included beating the Colorado School of Mines 15-7 in yesterday’s RMAC championships.

With the win the Mavs clinched an automatic-berth in the NCAA Division 2 Regional tournament.

The selection show this evening announced that Angelo State out of the Lone star conference will be the regional host and the number one seed.

CMU comes in as the number 2 seed and their first round opponent will be St. Edwards with a season record at 33-18.

If the Mavs win in round one they will play the winner of the 3 and 4 seed matchup which is West Texas A&M and Lubbock Christian.

The tournament will get underway May 18th in San Angelo, Texas.
