Hundreds of kids participated in a skills clinic with JUCO players and coaches. They took some batting practice, ground balls and played catch.
"It’s great the community does this in Grand Junction, CO,” sophomore pitcher Timmy Burtzloff says. “It’s great for kids to come out here and see this field. It’s a top-of-the-line and they get to come here and experience something awesome. I wish I could've done this as kid."
Each kid also received a bat and ball as well as t-shirts and wristbands to take home. But the biggest thing the kids took home was the memories.
"It’s great to have experience to see them before they play,” 11-year-old Tade Weber. “It just makes me feel good to see somebody older and want to practice harder like them."
