GJ Rockies: Game two goes the way of the Rockies

The red hot Grand Junction Rockies after winning 10-2 last night have now won 6 out of their last 8 and were trying to pick another win on the road today taking on Great Falls.

Justin Valdespina got the start on the mound and pitched 6 innings allowing 2 runs while striking out two Voyagers.

This one started out with the Rockies leading 4-2 through 6 and half innings, but Great Falls tied it up in the bottom of the 9th innings to force extras.

Then here came back to back doubles by Chad Spanberger and Todd Czinege to lead Grand Junction to the 8-6 win in 10 innings.

The Rockies will look for the series win with first pitch tomorrow at 7 o’clock.
