HS Football: Tigers look to improve in 2017

In 2016 the Grand Junction Tigers finished the season at 2-8.Within the 4A Longs Peak league the Tigers finished at 2-3 which was good enough for 4th place.

Headed into this season the offense will be young but Grand Junction will look to lean heavily on their veteran defense.

And according to their Head Coach the off season work the kids put in has prepared them for the new season.

“This is the first full year we have had a weight program that they have had here in a long time. So I think that is something that we have to continue to believe in and continue to work at is that we build that team there in the weight room and out here on the field, “said Mike Sirko.
