GJ Rockies: No manager, no problem

Manager Frank Gonzales was not in the dugout tonight. However the Rockies still earned the 17-6 win over Idaho Falls with hitting coach Lee Stevens at the helm.

Gonzales is on vacation. Time away is encouraged and not uncommon for minor league coaches.

Grand Junction scored in every inning but two. They also recorded 18 hits as a team with each player tallying at least one hit.

Alan Trejo went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run in the first inning. Nic Motley and Todd Czinege each homered as well.

Lucas Gilbreath picked up the win going 5.0 innings giving up four runs on seven hits.

The Rockies will look to pick up the series win in the finale on Tuesday. First pitch is at 6:40 P.M.
