CMU Mavericks Football: Mavs have no trouble with Fort Lewis

The first two scores for CMU football on Saturday night came courtesy of last weeks hero Ryan Sheehan. He hit a 27 and 51 yarder that put the Mavericks up 6-0.

With over 100 yards on the ground in the first half from Eystin Salum , Colorado Mesa led 19-0 at the break.

In the third quarter the flood gates opened as the Mavs outscored Fort Lewis 21-0.

Reserves played most of the 4th quarter, as the Mavs improved to 4-0 on the year taking down the Skyhawks 40-14.

Salum was the man offensively going 10-18 through the air for 212 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground he was just as good running for 164 yards and a touchdown.

All the focus will be in Pueblo next week as the Mavs travel to take on the Thunderwolves. Both teams come into the match up undefeated.

Kickoff from the Derose Thunderbowl is set for 2:00 P.M.
