CMU Mavericks Tennis: Mavs host Colorado College

It was the final day of the fall season for the CMU men’s and women’s tennis teams hosting their Maverick duals.

Coming into Saturday’s matchup the men’s team had gone 2-1 in the duals improving their overall record to 2-5 on the fall.

The women’s team has had tough luck, falling in two out of three of their matches. That being to Dixie State and Metro State, but they did pick up a win on Friday morning over Colorado Christian.

And the fall season provides a great opportunity for younger players to grow.

“In tennis our main season is in the spring. So it is getting a lot of the freshman and some transfer players a lot of match time. As well getting the veterans back into shape and see what we need to be working on for the spring, “said head coach Dan MacDonald.
