Central will return to Stocker Stadium on Friday night to take on Cheyenne Mountain for their homecoming game.
The Warriors are glad to be coming home. They're coming off three straight road losses including a 42-14 defeat to Pueblo South on Saturday.
It was Central's first league game of the season. South jumped out to a 28-0 lead and the Warriors never recovered.
"I feel like we had good position," junior strong safety Anthony Zubiate. "We just didn't make plays when we needed to. We stopped their run game which was good. They've had a good run game all. So it's good we stopped their run game. But big plays at the wide receiver position killed us."
Kickoff against Cheyenne Mountain is set for 7 P.M. on Friday from Stocker Stadium.
"We need to take care of the ball to begin with," head coach Shawn Marsh says. "We need to be more focused when we start. We need to be able to turn something that was very negative last week into something positive. We have the opportunity to play a team in Cheyenne Mountain this week that's 5-1."
