CMU football will take on Asuza Pacific in their regular season finales on Saturday. It'll be the second overall meeting between the two schools.
"They play in a good conference and every game we just got to go into and take care of our business," senior running back David Tann says. "Coach (Martin) talks about not worrying about what they're doing too much. We just got to take care of what we're doing."
The first time was last year when the Mavs won 33-24 at home. The Cougars had just one loss until Mesa beat them.
This year Asuza comes in with a 6-4 record with two losses a piece to No. 7 Central Washington and No. 16 Humboldt St.
This time the Mavs will be on the road in what could be a dangerous game.
"Asuza is a very good football team," head coach Russ Martin says. "They're very solid in every phase. Offensively they can run the ball well. They got big play receivers. So they can really mix some things in so it'll be a major challenge for our defense."
Kickoff is a 7 P.M. start on Saturday from Asuza Pacific.
