The 41st annual Warrior Classic will feature 41 teams ranging from Colorado, Utah and Wyoming.
The host team Central enters the tournament without state champ EJ Barrera who graduated this year.
The Warriors' key returners include past state tournament qualifiers Paul Salazar, Jacob McClaskey and Andrez Martinez.
"Our goal is to place as many as we can and do the very best that we can each time," head coach Laurence Gurule says. "With a tournament likes this anything can happen. We've got 41 teams coming in and tons of good kids."
The tournament will be a bench mark to see where the Warriors stand against top-level competition.
"Wrestling those tough teams gets you ready for the mentality and how tough the Warrior (Classic) is," Salazar says. "You get that experience. If you do good you get confident. When you have confidence you're going to win more than you lose."
The Warrior Classic will run Friday and Saturday beginning at 10 A.M. at Central High School.
