CMU Mens Basketball: Mavs look to defense to get on track

During last weeks road trip CMU went 1-1 with their win coming over the Chadron State Eagles on Friday night. On the back to back the Mavericks dropped Saturday's game to Regis giving up 103 points in the 103-82 loss to the Rangers.

The Mavericks got a career performance from Connor Nichols who dropped 30 points in 32 minutes of play, but the Ranger offense was just too much.

Regis shot 54.5% from the field and made a total of 12 three pointers in the ballgame. With the loss CMU fell back below .500 on the season with two tough games coming up this weekend.

On Friday night the men will welcome in No.22 Colorado School of Mines to Brownson Arena and Saturday CCU will come to town. Both games this weekend will tip off at 7:30 P.M.
