CMU Baseball: McLeod, Leahy lead preseason awards

After winning six straight regular season titles and four straight conference tournament titles CMU baseball was picked to repeat by the RMAC preseason coach's poll.

Senior Zach McLeod was named the preseason player of the year. Last season McLeod was selected to the RMAC All-Tournament team and was a preseason All-Region selection.

He hit .351 with five home runs.

Junior Kyle Leahy was selected as preseason conference pitcher of the year. During his sophomore season Leahy went 13-0 with a 1,41 ERA. His 13 wins was the most in Division II while his ERA was the second highest.

Leahy was also an All-American and RMAC Pitcher of the Year.

Joining McLeod and Leahy on the Preseason All-RMAC team is junior pitcher J.R. McDermott.
