CMU Men's Lacrosse: Mavs to open RMAC against Rockhurst

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) CMU men's lacrosse is 3-0 to start the year including a win over No. 3 Lenior-Rhyne.

The win propelled the Mavs from No. 14 to No.8 in the most recent NCAA Men's Division II Coaches Poll.

On Tuesday, CMU's home and RMAC opener will be against undefeated Rockhurst.

"They're facing off at about a 75 percent rate as a team with the one guy taking about 81 percent of his draws and winning them," said CMU head coach Vince Smith "Offensively they just moved some pieces around. A couple of guys that normally play attack for them have now switched to the midfield and running out of the midfield. It's just creating some matchup issues for some of opponents. We feel like we got a good game plan coming in that'll give us an opportunity to find success."

These two teams split the two meetings last season.

Game time is 7 P.M. on Tuesday from Walker Field
