GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT) Reagan Todd has spent the past three seasons jumping from team to team. He found a home with Colorado Mesa the past season and ended up getting drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 2018 first year player draft.
"I am so happy the way it worked out because play for the Grand Junction Rockies and being apart of the Rockies organization has always been a dream of mine being a Denver kid, "said Todd.
Todd made his professional debut last week for the Rockies and tossed two scoreless innings. The CMU product won't get much action early in the season after pitching the whole year for the Mavs, but the Rockies skipper was pleased with his first outing.
"He got into trouble in the second inning, but showed a little something getting through it. I think overall he was good and will just continue to get better,"said Rockies manager Jake Opitz.
Reagan Todd has started two games for the Rockies this season so far. In the two outings the 32nd round pick his pitched four and a third innings, allowing 3 runs while striking out 7 batters.
The Rockies are in the midst of an 11 game road trip , they will return back to Grand Junction on the 4th of July.
