Alan Jackson not coming to Country Jam in 2010

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Country Jam USA has announced Alan Jackson's 2010 performance has been postponed to the 2011 festival.

Miranda Lambert, who just won three ACM Awards including Top Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Video of the Year and who has had the #1 country song in the nation for the last three weeks with “The House That Built Me,” will now headline the festival June 26.

Crowd favorite Clay Walker has also been added to Saturday’s line-up. Walker’s latest single, “She Won’t Be Lonely Long,” is a current top-five hit on the country charts and his new album of the same name was just released earlier this month.

Current ticket holders have several options due to the scheduling change:
• Keep their tickets for the show (General Admission)
• Exchange their tickets for a different day at Country Jam (VIP and RESERVED seats)
• Exchange their tickets for tickets to the 2011 festival
• Request a refund by calling 1.800.780.0526

    I heard it was a scheduling mix up by the promoters, Alan being the gentleman he is - stepped aside and let Miranda Lambert have the headliner spot. Maybe next year they will give Alan his own night!!

    Why did he pull out. I think it's crummy as he was the reason we were going this year. Country Jam needs to be more upfront about the reason. So disappointed.

    By the way does anybody know why Alan Jackson has canceled coming to Country Jam this year? This kind of caught me off guard .Did he have another tour some place else that he had to go perform at or another city? I have actually heard stories from some music stars how that don't get to spend very much time with their families when they are out on the road. The only way that they can spend time with their familes while they are out on tour is to bring their families out on the road with them. I do understand that this can be a very tough life being seperated from family when you are a big name in the music business .I do beleive that that partly has something to do with why Brooks and Dunn are calling it quits after 20 some years.
