MACK, Colo. (KKCO) - 11 News sat down with ACM Top New Vocal Group Gloriana before their set Thursday at Country Jam 2010.
The Nashville-based quartet is made up of brothers Mike and Tom Gossin, Rachel Reinert and Cheyenne Kimball.
11 News: Today is big day for you guys. It's the first day of your appropriately named Long, Hot Summer Tour. What can people expect from you?
Tom: Actually, we've got a whole new set we just put together in about three days. We had a little break in our schedule, so we went in and kind of locked ourselves in a room for three 12 hour days and just kind of reworked everything. Great new set, some new instruments, what else guys?
Cheyenne: New songs, new covers...
Tom: New dance moves!
11 News: That's Mike, right?
Mike: Yeah, I break it down, totally.
Cheyenne: Yeah, he does the splits!
11 News: You guys really seem to get along with each other. But on a long bus ride from Nashville all the way to Colorado, does that change at all? Do you guys get sick of each other?
Cheyenne: We've been touring for, gosh I don't know how long, I'd say about a year-and-a half straight -- so I think that if we were going to kill each other it would have already happened (laughs). But we do love each other very much and we know when to give each other space. On those long drives, we're normally each in our bunks or just kind of away from each other.
11 News: Hopefully we're not starting any drama with this one -- but you two ladies were recently asked who the hottest men in country music were and sadly you did not immediately say these two guys right here. So Mike and Tom, who do you think are the hottest women in country music?
Tom: Thank you, that's awesome!
Cheyenne: Wait, you guys got asked the same question we did.
Tom: You know what? I'm gonna say Rachel Reinert and Cheyenne Kimball from the group Gloriana.
Rachel: Awwww...look at you!
Cheyenne: Can I just preface this whole thing with the lady that was doing the interview said "besides the guys in your group" who do you think are the hottest guys in country music?
Tom: I didn't hear that part, no.
Cheyenne: Didn't she say that?
Mike: (shakes head) I don't know...I don't know.
Rachel: I don't remember but I felt like she maybe did.
Mike: I'm gonna go with Reba McEntire and Loretta Lynn...and the girls from Gloriana!
Gloriana's self-titled debut album, featuring the hit singles "Wild at Heart" and "How Far Do You Wanna Go?" is in stores now. For more information about the band or their Long, Hot Summer Tour, click on the link below under "Related Links."
