GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Panthers lost more than a 51-7 decision on Saturday to the Belen Eagles; they may have lost their best running back as well.
Patton was tackled hard on a carry in the second quarter that forced him to leave the game with help from the Delta trainers. Patton tried walking under his own power, but it did not go well. The senior running back led the team with over 1,000 rushing yards last season, and he had over 250 yards through two games this year.
The Panthers fall to 2-1 on the season and they will play Moffat County next Friday at home. For highlights of this game, click on the video link above.
