Delta Falls Four Points Short Of Victory

DELTA, Colo. - The Delta Panthers late comeback against Eagle Valley came four points short on Friday night in a 27-23 loss to the Devils.

Delta trailed 20-9 in the second half but cut into the lead when David Murphy scored on a five yard touchdown run. Quarterback Austin Watson converted the ensuing two point conversion to cut the lead to three, but that's as close as it would get.

The Panthers fell to 2-5 overall, 1-5 in the Western Slope League. Their next game is at Pagosa Springs on Friday, October 17.
