Delta makes another statement, beats Palisade

DELTA, Colo. - The Delta Panthers continue to show that they are a team to be reckoned with after defeating the Palisade Bulldogs 10-6 on Friday night.

Palisade scored a touchdown late in the third quarter but missed the PAT for the teams only score of the game.

Palisade (3-4) will be back in action on Saturday, October 17 against Montezuma-Cortez at 1:00 p.m. at Stocker Stadium.

Delta (4-2) will have a bye next weekend before returning to action on Friday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. against Pagosa Springs. That game will be played at Delta High School.

    This is the best season Delta has had in a very long time. The new coaching and maximum effort by the members of the team are obviously showing in their record. It would be nice for the local media to get on board and give credit where credit is due. This Delta team is for real guys. There are other sports programs outside Grand Junction and Montrose.
