Panthers win fifth straight on senior night

DELTA, Colo. - (KKCO) The weather might have been cold, but the Panthers stayed hot with a 49-6 win over Montezuma-Cortez in Delta on Friday night.

Delta (7-2, 5-2) got a 7-yard touchdown pass from Austin Watson to Philip Decker to make it 30-0. Ethan Kraai punched in a one yard touchdown run on their next possession to make it 37-0.

Chad Cromwell played a huge role on the Panthers defense with a big hit and an interception.

Delta has won five in a row and plays at Battle Mountain next week. With a win, they will clinch an automatic bid in the 3A playoffs.
