DELTA, Colo. (KKCO) -- Senior forward Josh Wells had a team-high 19 points to lead the Warriors past the Panthers 70-56 in a non-conference game in Delta on Tuesday night.
Central (6-8, 0-1) hit three 3-point field goals in the first quarter, two by Matt Champlin, to lead 17-12. Vandon Sanchez added 15 points and 7 assists for the Warriors.
Central resumes SWL play on Friday when it hosts Montezuma-Cortez.
Delta (1-7, 0-3) resumes 4A Western Slope League play on Friday when it travels to Battle Mountain.
