GRAND JUNCTION, (kkco) -- The playoff brackets for Boys 5A / 4A and Girls 5A / 4A were released by CHSAA on Sunday night.

After finishing SWL play unbeaten, the Fruita Monument Wildcats (15-8) are the top local team in 5A boys. #4 Fruita will host the winner of #5 Boulder and #12 Westminster on Friday.

Grand Junction (15-8) will also host an early round game. The #8 Tigers welcome #9 Smoky Hill on Tuesday.

Montrose (16-7) is the top local team in 4A boys. The #5 Indians host #12 Battle Mountain on Tuesday.

Delta (10-9) and Palisade (9-14) both made the tournament. #12 Delta travels to #5 Evergreen on Tuesday. #12 Palisade will make a trip to Greeley to take on #5 Greeley Central.

The top local team in girls hoops are the Central Warriors (20-3). They have a #2-seed and a first-round bye. They will host the winner of #7 Mountain Vista vs. #10 Mountain Range.

Grand Junction (13-10) and Fruita Monument (10-13) also qualified for the 5A tournament. #5 Grand Junction hosts #12 Boulder on Wednesday night at Grand Junction High School. #9 Fruita Monument travels to Fort Collins to take on #8 Rocky Mountain.

In 4A girls, Montrose (17-6) is the top local team. They'll play the winner of #6 Widefield and #11 Mountain View. That game will be played at #2 Conifer, as the Lobos are the host team for that region in the 2nd round.

Palisade (6-15) also qualified for the 4A post-season. The #12 Bulldogs play at #5 Evergreen on Tuesday.
