Bulldogs expecting tough fight with Delta Tuesday

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The two best defenses in the Western Slope League will duel on Tuesday night when Palisade travels to Delta.

Through the first part of the league schedule, the league's No. 1 team, Palisade has allowed 40.2 points/game, and the Panthers have surrendered an average of 54 points/game.

The Bulldogs are the only undefeated team in league play through six games, but Brian Tafel, Palisade's head coach, says it will be a tough challenge to stop Delta's point guard Chris Black.

"He really makes them go," Tafel said of Black, who leads the Panthers in points and assists.

"He makes great decisions, he's athletic [and] he can make shots," added Tafel.
