Bulldogs hang on for 4A WSL title

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Cody Krabbe broke a 10-10 tie in the 6th inning with a grand slam to give Palisade a 14-12 win over Delta, and a second straight 4A Western Slope League title.

The Panthers threatened in the top of the 7th, putting the tying run on 2nd base, but Tyler Day was able to nail down the save for Palisade.

Krabbe drove in 6 RBI's in all with two hits and a pair of walks. He also got the win on the mound, tossing 3.0 innings in relief while giving up 4 runs (3 earned).

Both teams will play in this weekend's district playoffs, and should find out their playoff seedings by noon on Wednesday.
